2. emails can be send 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
3. email can be send to one person or several people.

Disadvatages:

1. The recipient needs access to the internet to receive email
2. No guarantee the mail will be read until the user logs on and checks their email.
3. Spam - unsolicited email , ie. junk mail...
