Monocropping is defined as the seasonal growing of the same plant on the same pieace of land.
Disadvantages :-
These fertilizers, in turn, disrupt the natural makeup of the soil and contribute further to nutrient depletion. Monocropping also creates the spread of pests and diseases, which must be treated with yet more chemicals
Advantages:-
The main advantages are; the farm operations in the farm can be mechanized especially during planting and harvesting of the crops. This reduces the cost of production hennce it is cheaper than the intercropping.
