Thirty years of developing, the MRAM use magnetic rather than electrical structures to store information, so they do not need to be constantly powered to retain data. It has the potential to store more data, access that data faster and use less power than dynamic RAM (DRAM), which is the current memory technology. Since MRAM is non-volatile, portions of the memory that are not being used can be turned off for truly significant power savings. MRAM is a non-volatile memory storage system like Flash memory, but it uses much less power and switches significantly faster. The main advantage of MRAM is that while Flash memory typically has a write time measured in milliseconds, MRAM has a write time measured in nanoseconds, which is 1,000 times faster.
One of the big disadvantages of MRAM is that it requires a high current to program, 5 to 10 milliamps. However, the problem may be solved in the future. Another problem is how to make MRAM affordable enough so they can be mass-produced.

Ferroelectric random access memory (FeRAM)
Advantages and Disadvantages:

Very similar to the MRAM, FeRAM combines the advantages of SRAM -- writing is roughly as fast as reading, and EPROM -- non-volatility and in-circuit programmability. More than 200 times faster to access than flash memory and reduce energy consumption by approximately 90%, FeRAM is the memory that has many possibilities for use as next-generation semiconductor memory. Disadvantages are high cost and low density, but that may change in the future. Since new ferroelectric materials are being developed, FeRAM will be improved for sure. In conclusion, the best thing about FeRAM is that It offers features consistent with a RAM technology, but is nonvolatile like a ROM technology. FRAM bridges the gap between the two categories and creates something completely new -- a nonvolatile RAM.

ADVANTAGES OF SEMICONDUCTOR MEMORIES:
LOW PRODUCTION COST
LOW POWER CONSUMPTION
GRAETER CAPACITY that can be produced from small I'Cs ( intergrated circuits)
IMPORTANT SPEED COMPUTERS RAM (SPEED)

Their major disadvantage is volatility
