This feature itself is an advantage for the organism as body any body part can develop into complete organism . secondly , in comparision to other mode of reproduction it is simple and convenient .

disadvantage of fragmentation

Its disadvantage is that the offsprings produced are the exact copies of their parents , the chances of variation are very low
