Advantages and disadvantages of 'bio gas'.
Answers
⭐ ADVANTAGES :-
1) Biomass used as a fuel reduces need for fossil fuels for the production of heat, steam, and electricity for residential, industrial and agricultural use.
2)Biomass is always available and can be produced as a renewable resource.
3)Biomass fuel from agriculture wastes maybe a secondary product that adds value to agricultural crop.
4)Growing Biomass crops produce oxygen and use up carbon dioxide.
5)The use of waste materials reduce landfill disposal and makes more space for everything else.
6)Carbon Dioxide which is released when Biomass fuel is burned, is taken in by plants.
7)Less money spent on foreign oil.
⭐ DISADVANTAGES :-
1)Agricultural wastes will not be available if the basic crop is no longer
2)Additional work is needed in areas such as harvesting methods.
3)Land used for energy crops maybe in demand for other purposes, such as faming, conservation, housing, resort or agricultural use.
4)Some Biomass conversion projects are from animal wastes and are relatively small and therefore are limited.
5)Research is needed to reduce the costs of production of Biomass based fuels.
6)Is in some cases is a major cause of pollution.
I hope it's help for you !

Advantages and Disadvantages of Biogas
Worldwide interest in renewable energy sources is gathering momentum. Biogas production is growing steadily, as more people are setting up biogas plants to produce biogas. To get a better picture of what biogas is good for, we have created this list explaining the advantages and disadvantages of biogas.
If you want to learn more about what biogas is, have a look at our Biogas 101 blog post.
Advantages of Biogas
1. Biogas is Eco-Friendly
Biogas is a renewable, as well as a clean, source of energy. Gas generated through biodigestion is non-polluting; it actually reduces greenhouse emissions (i.e. reduces the greenhouse effect). No combustion takes place in the process, meaning there is zero emission of greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere; therefore, using gas from waste as a form of energy is actually a great way to combat global warming.
Disadvantages of Biogas
1. Few Technological Advancements
An unfortunate disadvantage of biogas today is that the systems used in the production of biogas are not efficient. There are no new technologies yet to simplify the process and make it abundant and low cost. This means large scale production to supply for a large population is still not possible. Although the biogas plants available today are able to meet some energy needs, many governments are not willing to invest in the sector.
