The DSB-SC modulation is the Double Side-band Suppressed carrier modulation which has the advantages as well as the disadvantages as follows ,

The advantage of DSB-SC modulation is its consumption of low power as obtained in overcoming the shortcomings faced by other modulation due to suppressed carrier in this modulation.

The disadvantage of DSB -SC modulation is its complex detection as a wave modulation due to the carrier being suppressed which has its product proportional to the message signal.
