  • To improve the number of students in the schools and to make the children of poorer sections of the society to join schools, the government has launched the Mid day meal plan in which the children are given free meals in their school itself.
  • The plan has its advantages but also many disadvantages. Some of the advantages are that there is a rapid increase in the number of students attending schools and children are now focusing on their studies rather than their hunger.
  • Most of the children could not effort a nutritious food, but after this scheme they were able to get that.
