Hello!
<> The advantages and disadvantages of geothermal energy are:-
<> Advantages:
1) Its renewable sorce of energy .
2)It is environment friendly because it does not cause any pollution.
3)No wastage of generation of by-products.
4)This energy can be used directly , in olden days this energy was used for cooking and many heating purposes.
5)Maintainence cost of this energy is very less.
6)Unlike solar energy it does not need a specific time to be used.
<> DISADVANTAGES:
1) Only few sites have ghe potential of this energy.
2)There is always a danger of eruption of volcano.
3) It may release some some harmful, poisonous gases that can escape through some small holes.
4) Geothermal energy is produced only in some sites but which is far from markets.
5) Total generation potential energy is too small..
6) installation cost of steam power plant os very high.

ADVANTAGES
-------------------
*Safe and clean source of energy
*production doesnt cost much
*not harmful for environment since they dont produce green house gases
*Renewable bcs the used watr or steam can b used agn for the same purpose by pumping back to undrground
*High efficiency and low maintenance required
DISADVANTAGES
-------------------------
*There are very few commercially viable sites wer such energy can b xploited
*Leads to release of hydrogen sulphide which may cause unpleasant smell
*even if it is renewable ,there is possibility for depletion(as watr can now no more b considered as renewable)
*high installation cost
*Cant b easily transported
*There is possibility to flow out of stream
