Many points to focus :
Large human resource : It leads to make many India economical and effective in many ways.
Skill India : No human being is same, everyone is specialized with some skill so it's an advantage.
Make in India : Due to large population we can make goods in India itself and no need for much of import
More export : As population is more, more items can be produced and more items can be exported.
To improve technology : As there is large population we can improve technology to sustain that population and invent some new things.
More oppurnity : People can fly across and seek opportunities to make India proud.
Ease to government : Government can use population to make India wealthy and strong in many aspects by full utilization.
No poverty : Due to more population there will be many opportunities so it leads to minimize the poverty and India is the land of millions opportunities so it can reduce poverty, improve scale of wealth.
Note : All are just advantages, there are many more disadvantages in the same context so I hope by focusing on advantages we can remove most part of disadvantages.
Disadvantages. =
1. Stressful : you have to deal with a lot of noisy neighbor etc. (they probably less nosy than people in rural area with nothing to do).
2. Time became scarce commodity : you have to wait in line for everything, commuting, buying things at grocery store, waiting to be served at fast food restaurant etc.
3. Resource can became scarcer : electricity (black out), lack of fresh water, lack of fresh air (pollution).
4. cost of living : living in metropolitan area is expensive (the upside is you can buy almost anything).
5. Crime : crime can be a problem since everyone expect other people to do the good samaritan role (not themselves).
6. Disease : communicable disease can spread more easily in metropolitan area then rural area (think of SARS / Hong Kong bird flu).
However the future of Human Living is more likely to be more toward centered mega-metropolitan than idyllic rural area since idea is more easily / readily exchange on metropolitan city than rural area (despite the Hollywood say otherwise)
