which has no equal in the world it combines best from nearly everywhere in the world . few salient features of the constitution are as follows:-

1)The Preamble : it is an integral part of the constitution , it proclaims the features of the india as a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic and republic state working towards giving all its citizens justice , liberty and equality while promoting fraternity among them .

2) the fundamental rights (from art 12 to 35 ) : adopted from us constitution or the bill of rights . these are the rights guaranteed by the constitution to every citizen of India with reasonable restrictions.

3)directive principles of state policy : these are the goals towards which the state should work .although they are non enforceable by law they have great political sanctions attached to them .

4) fundamental duties : these are the basic duties of every citizen of india ( added by 42nd constitutional amendment, 1976 )
