Advantage of multipurpose projects-
1-Multipurpose projects are the main source of power generation.They provide us need polution free and cheep energy which is the backbone of industries and agricultre.
2-This helps in preserving wildlife and natural ecosystem .
3-These provide ideal condition for the breeding of fish.
Disadventage of multipurpose projects-
1-It requires huge capital and engineering skills and modern machinary which are usually not available with poor and developing countries.
2-Most of the rivers in India flow only for few months.So water is not sufficient to build a dam.
3-There are number of dispute over sharing of water and height of the dam and so on between various states.
