Advantages:
- Salting out DNA extraction method is safer than the Phenol-chloroform method of DNA extraction method.
- Here different salts are used to extract DNA.
- Salting out method with some modification is useful for DNA extraction from various samples in the laboratories.
- Non enzymatic method of salting –out gives good DNA quality for further processes.
Disadvantages:
- When salting out method is combined with proteinase K, it is more aggressive.
- The purity is not up to level when we use different types of salts.
