ADVANTAGES:

1- same currents flows through each resistor

2-total resistance is greater than the maximum resistance in the circuit

3- the current in the resistor is independent of position of the resistor in the series connection

DISADVANTAGES:

1-in series arrangement if one device is switched off the rest of the devices would stop working

2- all the appliances have only one switch so they could not be operated independently

3-in series arrangement the voltage is shared by one appliance so each appliance doesnt get the required voltage as per need
