- are much stronger hence more durable
- are not acted upon by moisture ,Chemicals and bacteria
- are cheaper than natural fibre
- easier to maintain as they retain fold made by ironing
disadvantages :
- they melt before burning so clothes stick to the skin of the person
- they repel moisture so do not absorb sweat, not comfortable
- they do not allow your circulation, so not comfortable
- electrical charges accumulates on them so they irritate the skin.
