Hi there,

Advantages of thermosetting plastic:

-they have high strength

-they are lightweight

- low processing cost

-it is very easy to manufacture

-Scientists use thermosetting plastic instead of metals because of their lightweight.

Disadvantages:

-Thermosetting plastic can melt when exposed to U.V light and sunlight.

-they have poor resistance to organic solvents, hydrocarbons, and highly polar solvents.

- this can be stressful to deal with.

Hope this helped :)

Have a great day

Thermosetting plastics, however, have a number of advantages. Unlike thermoplastics, they retain their strength and shape even when heated.

This means that the plastic is more likely to be degradable, so it will be less of a problem in future.

Threatening Disadvantage Another disadvantage is pollution.
