Answer :-

Many attempt have been made before the origination of the modern period table

First attempt was the Dobereinier law of triads.Advantages of the Dobereinier law of the triads are :

  1. It was the first attempt to arrange the element in a sequential manner.
  2. It had made the research at th at time easy and comparative.
  3. It correlated the atomic masses of the element.

Limitation of the Dobereinier law of the element :-

  1. It was not applied for all the element.
  2. Scientist at that time was not able to correlate all the elements of that time.

Advantages of the Newlands law of Octaves are :

  1. It made the study of the elements easy and comparative.
  2. It provided the base for the research in the field of the chemistry of that time.

Limitatio of Newlands law of the Octaves are :

  1. It was only applicable for those elements which was discovered at that time .After the discovery of the Noble gases, this methods was filed.

Advantages of the Mendeleev periodic tables are :

  1. He arranged the elements in the tabular forms which was very much easy to understand and provided the lot of scope in the field of the chemistry.
  2. He even predicted the properties of the elements which was not discovered at that time.
  3. All the elements which have the same properties are arranged in the particular Groups.

Limitations of the Mendeleev periodic tables are :

  1. Hydrogen was not designed the proper position in Mendeleev periodic table.
  2. The position of the isotopes are also not clarified in the table .

Hope it help you.......
