Hi!
Coalition Government is a government which has two or more like minded parties who are willing to negotiate with each other and govern the country together.
Coalition Government has the following advantages :-
● Like minded parties govern the country together.
● They form a strong front against opposition parties.
● If the coalition is successful , the individual ideas of each party is considered which might help in the progress of the country.
● The number of members in a coalition government is huge so the government can be a part of the Lok Sabha and get the majority of seats.
● People vote according to their individual choices and if one party in the coalition party gets a lot of votes and the other party/parties get less , then the votes can be collated together to form a lot of votes so as to defeat the opposition party.
But everything has disadvantages and so does a coalition government. For example; if one party doesn't agree with the interest and the ideas of another party , then the coalition may break which might not be good for both the parties.
Thank You
