Advantages of constant volume Gas thermometer:-)

1. As the expansion of gas is large, so the Gas thermometer are very sensitive.
2. The gas expand uniformly and regularly over a wide range of temperature .
3. The expansion coefficient of all gases is nearly the same, so thermometer using different gases give same reading.
4. Gas thermometer can be used for wide range of temperature. With helium gas low temperature of about - 273°C and using Nitrogen gas high temperature about 1600°C can be measured.
