They're more sensitive (less loading in your circuit.) Because they have internal buffers, the ohms per volt figure is meaningless: typical DVM's have impedances of 10M ohms or more, regardless of the voltage setting.

They're also self-protected against most overload conditions, especially overvoltage which can easily destroy a mechanical meter.

High-end DVMs can be very accurate - in the microvolt and nanoamp ranges for sensitive measurements.

Answer:

The voltmeter which uses the amplifier for increases their sensitivity is known as the electronic voltmeter.

Explanation:

ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRONIC VOLTMETERS:

The following are the advantages of electronic voltmeters over traditional (regular) voltmeters.

(a) There is no circuit load when measuring voltage.

(b) High sensitivity due to high input impedance.

(c) There is a burnout resistance measurement circuit.

(d) Wide frequency range.

(e) When used as an electronic test meter, it enables a wide range of resistance measurements.

(f) They are accurate and reliable.
