The advantages of exotic breeds are as follows

1. They are resistant to diseases as they are not easily attacked and thus can survive even when there is an outbreak of diseases.

2. Exotic breeds are normally characterized with higher growth rate and thus this ensures that their productivity is very high.

The only disadvantage is that these exotic breeds are affected by the climatic conditions in India.

They are also very expensive to buy and maintain.
