Advantages of good relationship with bench mate are:

1. Help: As our bench mate is the person nearest to us, in case of immediate help we can turn to him/her. For example, in case we want to borrow a stationery item without disturbing the entire class.

2. Sharing: One can share food, books etc with their bench mate  

3. Communication: At some point of time, we all feel the need to express our feelings and want some one to hear us out. Who can be better than our bench mate who starts understanding us and helping us out in case we are in a dilemma .
