advantages of India the 82˚30'E longitudes being taken as the standard time meridian of India

Because there is a difference of 2 hours in Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat , so to avoid confusion of time we have taken the time at centre most longitude 82°30'E as IST Indian standard time, which is followed in the whole country.
