Advantages of nodular cast iron over gray cast iron

Nodular Cast Iron has Graphite in forms of nodules,while in Grey Cast Iron it is in Flake form.

The ductility of Nodular Cast iron is more than the Grey Cast iron,,,as these nodules don't act as Stress Concentration sites.

the Strength of Nodular cast iron is also more in comparison to grey cast iron. But main property is of Ductility.
