Side Effects of Advertisements

Advertisements appear to be so luring and appealing to the eyes. However, they have many unwanted side-effects also. One of them is advertisements enticing them to copy the stunts shown in the advertisements. Recently Arun Bakshi was one such victim who tried to copy the advertisement of a well-known Cola by trying to jump from first floor of his house. As a result, he got his legs fractured.

Such advertisements as are luring should be banned. The Government must not allow any advertisement to be shown on TV. The advertisements should be banned outright as they serve no other purpose than promoting the sales interests of the company. We need to be very careful. We must tell our children the truth about advertisements to keep them safe.
