Advertisements have become a big part of the internet. Every website you will visit, you will find many advertisements, pushing many products.
If we talk about the advertisement for clothing items, you will always see beautiful models promoting those items. These models are probably thin, tall and have fair skin tone. Looking at these models some of us would want to buy the item they are promoting. But some people who are insecure of themselves will see this as a standard they have to reach. Younger girls and boys are affected by this and want to change themselves so they can be seen as "beautiful" in this society. Many people can see these models as inspirations to become healthy and fit. But sadly, this is usually not the case. The youth will push themselves beyond their limits to reach the measures that have been put in front of them. In their minds, they must reach those standards to succeed in life.Such thoughts and interpretations can lead to severe depression and eating disorders.
We should start loving ourselves for who we are and only pushing our selves to fit and healthy, not pretty.
