ATP - Sheet

1) Glycolisis :- -2 ATP

+4 ATP

+2 NADH2 ( 2×3 ATP)

=6 ATP

Total = 6+2 =8 ATP

2)Link reaction :- 2 NADH2 = 6 ATP

3) Kreb's cycle :- [1 FADH2

3 NADH2

1 GTP/ ATP ] × 2 ( For

one 3 carbon we

have to find glucose

(6c) so 2 is multiplied

= 2 FADH2

6 NADH2

6 GTP/ATP

Total. = 1 FADH2 = 2 ATP

Therefore 2 FADH2 = 4 ATP

2 GTP/ATP = 2 ATP

6 NADH2 = 6×3 =18

ATP

Therefore total = 24 ATP

Overall total or net yeild of ATP = 8 +6+24 = 38 ATP. Which is incase of aerobic respiration and incase of anaerobic respiration its 36 ATP because 2 ATP is utilised.

Finally We Can Conclude That Aerobic Respiration Is 18 Times More Efficient Than Anaerobic Respiration.

Hi mate.

Thanks for asking this question.

Here is your answer,

AEROBIC VS ANAEROBIC :

(1) We know that the aerobic and

anaerobic is the types of the Respiration. In

which the Respiration takes place in presence

of oxygen is called aerobic Respiration and

which takes place without presence of oxygen

is called anaerobic Respiration.

(2)Aerobic Respiration takes place in 3

steps i. e gycolysis, Krebs cycle and ETS.

When aerobic Respiration takes place through

the steps it forms 38 ATP without shuttle and

forms 36 ATP through the shuttles ( Malate -

Aspartate shuttle and Glycerol - Phosphate

shuttle ) .

(3) And when we comes towards anaerobic

Respiration it takes place through the also 3

steps i.e gycolysis, decarboxylation and

reduction. When Respiration takes place

through this, it produces 2ATP molecules and

2 NADH2. There is a no presence of ETS so it

finally forms only 2ATP with the help of

enzymes i.e Zymase which is secreted by

bacteria saccaromycese.

(4) Lastly we conclude that the anaerobic

type of Respiration is sufficient for unicellular

organisms because of no complexity level. But

when we took in aerobic Respiration is found

in the multicellular or well developed

organisms to get more energy to complete

their need at complexity basis level.

So that, the aerobic Respiration is more

efficient in higher organisms than that of

anaerobic Respiration. Higher organisms

means the organisms whose body is well

differentiated into numerous organs or

organelles.

(5)It is for the energy of body. But

when we see this according to the commercial

level the anaerobic Respiration is more

efficient than the aerobic Respiration.
