Step-by-step explanation:

(i) the son was 10 years old

when son was 10 years old the father was 40 years old

Ratio:

father:son

40:10

4:1

(ii) the father was 35 year old

when the father was 35 year old the son was 5 years old

Ratio

father:son

35:5

7:1

iii)the son will be 40 years old

when the son will be 40 years old the father will be 70 years old

Ratio

father:son

70:40

7:4

(iv) the father will be 75years

when the father will be 75 years the son will be 45 years old

Ratio

father:son

75:45

15:9

5:3
