babies has a slow pumping of blood in heart...so they don't have much blood in their body....due to lack of blood their heart will pumps very fast....for us i.e adult body is very much developed and our heartbeat is normal..

so this is the reason why our babies have fast heartbeat ....even the sprinters means a fastest runner also has same heartbeat like babies have....it because they run fast so the heart pumps very very rapidly
