Aflight is flying at a height of 10400m and with a speedof 885km/hr. A person jumps out of it to the sea down below. How long will he take to reach the surface of water?

10400 = 1/2 x 10 x t²
t= √(2080)

10400 =  1/2 x 9.8 x t²

t = 46.046 seconds

the time duration to reach the surface of water is dependent on the height above water surface and not on the speed of the flight.

S = 1/g t²       =>   10,400 =  1/2 *9.81 * t²

t = 46.046 seconds
