aftab tells his daughter 7 years ago I was 7 times as old as you were then also 3 years from now I shall be 3 times as old as you will be. Isn't this interesting represent the situation algebraically

Let the age of Aftab be x
Let the age of his daughter be y

ATQ :-

(x-7) = 7(y-7)
x-7 = 7y - 49
x - 7y = - 49 + 7
x - 7y = - 42....... (i)


(x+3) = 3(y+3)
x + 3 = 3y + 9
x - 3y = 9 - 3
x - 3y = 6....... (ii)

Now by eq. i & ii :-
(you can follow any method)

x = 42
y = 12
