Given :  After 10 years, the age of X is twice the age of Y. Before 10 years, the age of x is sixth times the age of Y

To Find :  Ages of X & Y

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say  Age  of  X  =  X years

& age  of Y   =  Y  Years

After 10 years Age of X  = X + 10  Years

After 10 years age of Y = Y + 10 Years

X + 10 = 2(Y + 10)

=> X = 2Y  + 10

Before 10 Years  Age of X  = X - 10 Years

Before 10 Years  Age of Y  = Y - 10 Years

X - 10 = 6(Y - 10)

=> X = 6Y - 50

Equating X

6Y - 50 = 2Y + 10

=> 4Y  = 60

=> Y = 15

X = 2(15) + 10

=>X = 40

Age of X = 40 Years

Age of Y  = 15 Years
