Given :  After 100 innings, a cricketer's batting average is 49.25 runs.

To Find : What is the number of runs he needs to score in his next innings in order to improve his average to 50

 75 Runs

 100 Runs

 145 Runs

 125 Runs

Solution:

 After 100 innings, a cricketer's batting average is 49.25 runs.

=> Total Run in 100 innings = 100 * 49.25 = 4925

After 1 inning total inning = 100 + 1 = 101

Average = 50

Total Runs after 101 innings = 101 * 50  =  5050

Runs needed in 101th inning = 5050 - 4925

= 125

Hence 125 runs needed
