After
1840’s, the life of the workers was improved in England because it was a time
of industrial revolution and 80% of the workers tend to move from rural to
urban areas. This was the period of urbanization in which the working class benefited
the most and the result was their living conditions were improved. The chances
of famines and standard of livings were improved too, because with the more
industrialization, more people got employment.

The period after the 1840's saw an improvement and general acceptance of the industrial revolution. This era was marked by an increase in innovation which, in turn, greatly multiplied the productivity of labor. There was introduction to the use of combustion engines and electricity-work was made easier and more productive.
What this meant is that there was an increase in the real wages of workers. The real wage of almost all individual workers doubled. This led to an increase and improvement in the standards of living conditions. Hence this answers the question of how the life workers improved in England after the 1840's.
