Let Raju's present age = x

After 4 years, Raju's age will be = x+4

2 years ago, Raju's age was = x-2

Given that, Raju's age after 4 years is equal to 3 times his age 2 years ago

x + 4 = 3(x - 2)

=> x + 4 = 3x - 6

=> x - 3x = -6 - 4

=> -2x = -10

=> x = -10/(-2) = 5

Raju's present age is 5 years.
