Solution:

Time = 5s

Acceleration = 4m/s^2

Initial velocity = 0m/s

First Method

Using 1st equation of motion

v = u + at

v = 0 + 5 × 4

v = 20

Using 3rd equation of motion

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

20^2 = 0^2 + 2 × 4s

400 = 2 × 4s

8s = 400

s = 400/8

s = 50m

Hence, distance travelled is 50meter.

Using 2nd equation of motion

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

s = 0 × 5 + 1/2 × 4 × 5^2

s = 0 + 1/2 × 100

s = 1/2 × 100

s = 50

Hence, distance travelled is 50meter.
