Let age of hemant today = x
     age of his son = y
From question
(x + 5 ) = 3(y +5)
x - 3y = 10 ------------1
And,
(x - 5) = 7 (y- 5)
x - 7y = - 30    ----- 2
equation 1 - equation 2
4y = 40
y = 10
put this value in equation 1 we get
x - 30 = 10
x = 40
So age of hemant today = 40
    age of his son  = 10
