After 5 years, the sum of ages of Rima and Neha will be 30. If Rima is 4 years younger than Neha
today, then find the sum of present ages of Rima and Neha

Solution :-

Given that :-

• Sum of ages of Reema and Neha after 5 years = 30

• Reema is Four years younger than Neha.

Then

• Let age of Reema be "x" years old then

• Age of Neha = x + 4

Then age after five years

• age Of Reema = x + 5

• age Of Neha = (x + 4) + 5

= x + 9

Now as sum of ages after 5 years = 30

→ (x + 5) + (x + 9) = 30

→ 2x + 14 = 30

→ 2x = 16

→ x = 8

Then we have got the age of

• Reema = 8 years

• Neha = (8 + 4)

= 12 years

Now the sum of present ages

= 8 + 12

= 20
