After 7 years, three times the age of Lalit will be equal to his father’s age which is equal to 6times Lalit’s present age. Find the present ages of both.

let lalit's present age=x
lalit's age after 7 years=7+x
Given, his father's age after 7 years=6x
also given,that his father's age after 7 years =thrice lalit's age after 7 years
therefore,6x=3(7+x)
6x=3x+21
3x=21
x=7
therefore lalit's present age=7 years
and 6x=6*7=42(his father's age 7 years later)
therefore his father's present age=42-7=35
