After a chemical reaction, the total mass of reactants and products *does not change*.

● Law of conservation of mass -
- During a chemical reaction, total mass of reactants & products always remains conserved.
- Also total no of atoms in reactants & products is conserved.
- For example, in the reaction 2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O, 4 H-atoms & 2 O-atoms are involved.
