Answer:

let the sum be x

Step-by-step explanation:

so, x ×95/100=19x/20. {we did 95%bcoz 100%-deduction of 5%is 95%}

then,

19x/20 × 90/100=81x/200=171 (given)

x=171×200/81

=19×200/9=3800/9=422.22

Step-by-step explanation:

Let   the   Original sum is   Rs x  So   according   to   the   question ,    After   5%   of   deduction   we   get ,

 x - 5x/100 = 19x/20 and   again   10 %   deduction   we   get ,    19x/20 - 19x/20 x 10/100 = 19x/20 - 19x/200 = (190x-19x)/200 = 171x/200 and   it   is   given   as ,   171x/200 = 171  So   x   =  200
