I have been trekking for the last seven days with a group of fellow enthusiasts. We are almost at the top of the summit if Mt. Kenya. We are only few miles from Batian, the highest peak of the mountain.Around 3 p.m there is a sudden downpour. The heavens open and it starts raininig cats and dogs. The sun is still shining and dark heavy clouds are trying to blanket the clear cloudless sky. We retreat to our tents to protect ourselves from the relentless shower. Rays of light filter through the dark clouds and I enchanted by the sight. Nature in all its splendour. A beautiful rainbow appears and it makes me smile. The colours of the rainbow are so marvelous. A warm duzzy feeling engulfs my body. I would not trade this for anything in the world.
