■HEY DEAR..

•°•LET THE CP be X..

PROFIT=28%

SP= (100+28/100)×CP=X

=32X/25

MP= 1600
DISCOUNT= 20%

20%OF 1600..= 20/100×1600
= 322

SP = MP- DISCOUNT..
=1600- 322
=1278..

CP = 1278×25/32
=288.28 aise ho kuch...ayega..

Given:

Discount is 20%

Profit is 28%

Marked price is 1600

To find:

Cost price

Solution:

Finding the discount:

Discount on marked price

=> 1600 * 20/100

=> 320

Finding the selling price:

SP = Marked price - discount

SP = 1600 - 320

SP = 1280

Finding the cost price:

CP = [100/(100 + gain %)] × SP

CP = [100/ 100+ 28] x 1280

CP = [100/128] x 1280

CP = 128000/128

CP = 1000

Hence, the CP is Rs 1000.
