It is an anti-war poem that sharply criticizes the destruction and death caused by the war. There was no doubt that traces of genuine and authenticity in his description of its consequences. But at the end it is regarded as a 'famous victory' by everyone. Even though people had faced the consequences of war, even when new born babies died but they yet praised the Duke and the Prince, and repeatedly, calling the battle as a 'great victory'.
