"As per 2017-18, the total area of Punjab is 5,036 ha. Of which, 82.35% occupy the total area sown by crops and 5.13% are forests. Almost, 10.93% from the total area is unfit for land cultivation.
About 55 hectare are current fallow land. Fallow lands constitutes 6 hectare other than current fallows, which is 0.12% of total area.
Other grazing lands and permanent pastures contributes 0.10% and culturable wastelands occupy 0.12% of total area of the state."
