after covering 3/4 of my journey , i still have 15 km left. what is the total distance of the journey ?

Let

total distance of the journey = x km

Distance covered = 3x/4

Distance left = x - 3x/4

= ( 4x - 3x )/4

= x / 4 ------( 1 )

According to the problem given,

x / 4 = 15

x = 15 × 4

x = 60

Therefore ,

Total distance of the journey

= x = 60 km
