after covering 3/4of my journey, I find that 15km is still left. How much distance is the total journey

Let the total journey be X kilometers.

So if we write the details according to the question, we get

[tex]\frac{3}{4} * x + 15 = x [/tex]

$\frac{3x}{4} + 15 = x$

Taking LCM we get,

$\frac{3x + 60}{4} = x$

Transposing 4 to the LHS, we get,

$3x + 60 = 4 * x$

=> $3x + 60 = 4x$

=> $60 = 4x - 3x$

=> x = 60 Kilometers.

Hence the total journey is of 60 Kilometers.
