After cutting the wheat crop and beginning to rice crop farmers row a leguminous crop such as dal or lentil or pea in between .why? Explain 3-4 sentences

They do this in order to replenish the soil, educing soil erosion and increases soil fertility and crop yield..Legumes have bacteria on nodules which are on the roots of the plant. The bacteria on the nodules takes nitrogen from the air and fixes it into the soil, so that other plants that require nitrogen can use it as well.
