The first insect will remain preserved in the hot mud because in normal mud contains no. of microorganisms like bacteria, moths,earthworm,etc. but these microorganisms lack hot and cold temperature.

Since the mud is hot, it will prevent microorganisms.

Hence, the insect could not be decomposed and will remain preserved for period of time.
