Find the percentage after the 4% deduction:

100 - 4 = 96%

Find 1%:

Given that the amount after the deduction is ₹1488

96% = ₹1488

1% =  ₹15.5

Find the original amount:

1% =  ₹15.5

100% = 15.5 x 100 =  ₹1550

Answer: The original bill is ₹1550

Let the original bill is 'x'.

Given that After deducting 4% of the bill, the amount still to be paid is 1488.

= > x - 4% of x = 1488

= > x - (4x/100) = 1488

= > 96x/100 = 1488

= > 96x = 148800

= > x = 148800/96

= > x = 1550.

Therefore, the original bill = 1550.

Hope it helps!
