Given : after distributing 14 %  of the milk in his can the milkman fills it with water, after selling 15 %  of the mixture as milk he fills it again and then sold the entire portion as milk.

To Find : what is the percentage gain made by milk man

Solution:

Let say  Milk  =  100  M

distributing 14 %  of the milk in his can the milkman fills it with water

Sold Milk = (14/100)M = 14M

Remaining = 86M

86 M    and Water =  14M

Selling 15 % of The Mixture

Milk  Sold = (15/100) 100M = 15M

Again filled with water

Sold Milk = 100M

Total Milk Sold = 14M + 15M + 100M = 129M

Profit = (29M/100M) * 100 = 29 %
